This is the most interesting bottle of whiskey I have sampled in a long time. Frankly, I don't know how to describe it or even how much I liked it. I will try to describe it.
To start, this is a blend put together by Compass Box. It appears in "101 Whiskies to Try Before You Die", which led me to it. You look at the bottle and it looks like white wine--light in color and thin. The nose is similar, like a fruity wine. But the taste is different. This is like a white wine mixed well with a lightly peated scotch and a bourbon. That may sound terrible, but I assure you it is done elegantly. It finishes like a very light bourbon, not a lot of lingering sweetness.
I wouldn't expect this to be a bottle that everyone would like, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different.
