A nicely clean, simple lightly peated single malt. Aged 21 years for just the right amount of mellow flavor of peat, vanilla and fresh fruit. Enough kick to keep you interested, but not overwhelming. Possibly not worth the price, but pairs nicely with a medium to full-bodied cigar. I prefer a bit more spice and/or sweet in an expensive bottle, but frankly this satisfied a range of whiskey drinkers tonight.
