This is my favorite "everyday" scotch. Each sip has a lot of character with lots of sweet and spice. There are nice citrus notes combined with vanilla. Depending on what you've eaten recently, other dynamics may emerge and you may taste bourbon notes with oak and fine leather.
For extra credit, smoke a cigar while sipping a glass of the Three Wood and see how one opens up the other.
The finish is so smooth that, if the conversation were good, it would be all-too-easy to drink a whole bottle in one sitting. And would that really be so wrong?
